Wymondham Wednesday Bridge Club Data Protection Declaration.
1. Member Data Held on Computers by Wymondhan Wednesday Bridge Club.
The club holds on computers managed by the Honorary Secretary, Competition Secretary and those engaged in scoring the club’s competitions computer records of member names addresses phone numbers email addresses and details of membership status with the club - date of joining date of last sub payment etc.. The member record includes where relevant a record of a member’s EBU status and registration number.
The club holds for up to two years in computer archives managed by the Competitions Secretary the results of club bridge competitions by player name together with totals and averages of these results.
Member email addresses are held on a shared email group which can be used by the committee or any member to email the participating club membership. Only the Club Competition Secretary can admit members to the email group and only with their separate consent which can be withdrawn at any time. The mail group’s Identity is not publicly disclosed any where and is knownonly to the club members who have agreed to participate in it.
2. Purposes for Which We hold This Data.
The above data is used by the club for the following purposes:-
- Preparing and distributing to members the results of club Bridge comitions information on general and club committee meetings the club membership card and useful news announcements.
- Preparation of the club Web Site describing the club’s activities and the results of its competitions.
- Communicating with the EBU regarding members’ EBU status and the Master Point Certificates earned in the club.
3. Undertaking by the Committee of Wymondham Wednesday Bridge Club.
The club undertakes to use its best endeavours to ensure that the member data is accurate and mutually consistent.
The club undertakes to use member information for no other purposes than those disclosed in this declaration and not to disclose the information held to any third parties without their permission.
A members email address is not mandatory information for club membership and the club undertakes to delete email records if members indicate that they do not wish to receive electronic communications.
