- First & second overall. (at least 6 to qualify - 3 in the first six weeks 3 in the last)

Championship Pairs Trophy
The club stages eight Championship Pairs events each season. The
results are based on the best five results for participating partnerships.
Competition scores are calculated by summing the partnership's positions in the
relevant events.
There is a dedicated web page for the Championship Pairs. See "Pairs Rslts"
in the Results section of
the web site.
The Handicap Competition
The Handicap competition is based on the results of all the Pairs competitions held in the club in the year. The competition has two stages.
Stage1 Qualifying Stage. The Handicap factor is calculated based on all pairs results between June and December. 10 scores are required to gain a handicap, which is computed by dividing 50 by the average score for the period. For example if your average is 55.0% in the qualifying period your handicap will be 50/55 = .91.
Stage 2. Competition Stage. To qualify for this stage, players must have gained a handicap in stage 1 and also submit 10 results in the period January - May. Results are counted whether played with a member or guest.
The title of Club Champion is awarded to the individual(s) attaining the highest average score during the Handicap Competition. There is no trophy associated with the title but the winner will receive a prize.
The Dinsdal Handicap Trophy is awarded to the player with the highest handicapped score in the Handicap Competition. The handicapped average is calculated by multiplying the actual average by the Handicap factor.
The Handicap Competition Results are visible on the web site as follows:-
- Stage 1. See the "Hcp Qualifier(1-3)" pages in the results section of the web site.
- Stage 2. See the "Hcp Competition(1-2)" in the results section of the web site.
The Cortis Cup - Teams of Four
There are four rounds of Teams events to decide the
Cortis Cup. Three team results are required to qualify for the trophy. The
winning team has the highest aggregate Imp Score based on their best three
results in the competition.
Two members of the team must be present for every match. The others can be any club member, even from another team.
The 'Teams of 4 ' web page displays the running results of the Teams competition.
The Charity Trophy.
One club pairs evening usually early December is devoted to a charitable cause. The winner of this evening is awarded the Charity Trophy and has the privilege of choosing the charity to benefit from the club's donations, comprising the table money and usually generous supplementary donations by the players.
