About The Club

Introduction to the Club
Wymondham Wednesday Bridge Club  aims to provide duplicate bridge  for club-standard  bridge players. We  play at Central Hall, Back Lane, Wymondham  on Wednesday evenings  at 7.15 pm.  Players are asked to be seated by 7.10 pm. The sessions usually comprise 24 rounds.

The table money is £1.50  for members and £2.00 for visitors . This covers light refreshments - tea coffee, soft drinks  - available throughout the playing session. 

The club welcomes New Members. Visitors are also welcome to play at our events either by prior arrangement with a club official  (See "Contacts" ) , or by invitation by a member. The joining fee for the club is  £3.00. The web site includes a membership application form which can be printedPlease forward  your application and joining fee to either the Membership Secretary or the Club Treasurer. 

The club is affiliated to the E.B.U and N.C.B.A .  MP's for E.B.U members are automatically transferred to the E.B.U monthly, whether club members or not.

Membership Records and The Data Protection Act.
As with  most Bridge clubs, the administration of membership records, scoring and  communications with members are more or less completely mechanised. We have provided a web page describing our policies with regard to the Data Protection act and consent to these policies is a condition of membership.

Individual Competitions

We divide the year into three parts. In the period June to August we stage the Summer Individual competition which has prizes both for winners and the Fastest Riser during the competition period.

In the autumn there is no competition proper and we use the period to establish handicaps for the main Handicap competition which is staged in the period Jan - May
Partnership Competitions

We have an 8 round competition to establish the club Champion Pair. We also have a four round competition to establish the Champion Team. The winners of these events are our first choice representatives for the club in county competitions.

The club  is  managed by the following officers:-

All members receive a copy of the club's  Constitution and Rules and an annual Program Card The content of these documents is also displayed on the Web Site.

Our club year ends on 31 March and subscriptions for the new year are due on that date.
